Cupcakes and Cocktails Ticket Giveaway
Mini cakes + tasty libations + Josh Watkins’ excellent nibbles = an evening of awesomeness
That’s just what you can expect next Wednesday, July 25, at the Cupcakes and Cocktails fundraising event hosted by the Austin Food Blogger Alliance and benefiting local non-profit Bake A Wish. Your local food bloggers have gone all out this year to create an evening worthy of your best sparkly attire (or at least a tie for the gentelmen). For a mere $35 per person you’ll enjoy:
- Tasty hors d’oeuvres from The Carillon, one of Austin’s best fine dining restaurants (thanks Josh!)
- Two drinks to tost the efforts of local bakers who provide free birthday cakes and other baked goods to children in foster homes and shelters, the elderly, the disabled, and other underserved communities in and around Austin.
- The opportunity to bid on over $4,000 worth of goodies in a silent auction
- A front-row seat for an invitational cupcake taste-off featuring some of Austin’s best bakers
- The warm fuzzy feeling that comes from supporting a great organization like Bake A Wish
Win Tickets!
I’m going to start the celebration just a little bit early here on the blog by giving away two tickets to the event. For a chance to win leave a comment that shares which of your favorite cocktails you’d most like to see turned into a cupcake by 10:00pm on Sunday, July 22. 2012. On Monday morning I’ll select a winner at random and announce who the lucky commenter is here. Be sure to leave a valid e-mail address so I can contact you about your tickets.
Please Help!
In the mean time, please tell your friends about this fun event and help us raise as much money as we can for Bake A Wish. You can also guarantee your own spot at Cupcakes and Cocktails (rather than trusting the luck of the draw here) by buying tickets now.
And the Winner Is….
James with his Irish Coffee cupcake idea (according to Random.org). If you aren’t James please buy your tickets now for the event on Wednesday. I look forward to seeing you there.
A pina colada cupcake!
Brandy Alexander, please!
I’d love to see a basil gimlet inspired cupcake or a chocolate cupcake with whiskey would be tasty!
I’d think a raspberry mojito cupcake might be fun.
I’d love to see a cupcake version of FINO’s Maple Leaf. It’s a seasonal drink made with “Maker’s mark bourbon, maple syrup, lemon, cinnamon”. mmmm I might have to make my own cupcakes with those ingredients!
Tuaca lemon drop or Paloma would be nice
I think a Moscow Mule cupcake would be really good!
White Russians would no doubt make a good cupcake.
Caipirinha cupcakes, for a Brazilian flair. The latest issue of Vogue has caipirinha ice pops, so I don’t see why they can’t be turned into cupcakes! Bee’s Knees would be interesting, too.
Buttery Nipple (not really a cocktail, more of a shot, but I think it would make a delicious cupcake!
Irish coffee
I would love to see a hibiscus margarita turned into a cupcake. Yum!
A Mint Mojito!
The June Bug – Midori (melon liqueur), coconut rum, banana liqueur, pineapple juice, lemon juice. A tropical cupcake for grown ups!
Manhattan!!
